Can’t Add Tags with WordPress 2.8.2

    I just updated to WordPress 2.8.2. on three blogs I maintain. [Word to the wise: better to update one blog and see how things go. Now I have three blogs with trouble.]

    For example, at AmericanFreethought.com when I create a new entry I can type the names of new tags into the slot, but nothing happens when I press the Add button. Similarly for new Categories or to add an image.

    Frankly, I’m surprised something so basic as this slipped through the Beta process.

    Well, I think I solved the problem myself. First, I started turning off plugins one after the other until the “add tags” functionality returned. For whatever reason PodPress was the culprit.

    I had PodPress 8.8 but 8.8.1 was available, so I upgraded automatically and the problem went away. I have no idea why, but if somebody can explain it to me I would appreciate it.

    I agree – upgrading PodPress to 8.8.1 fixes the problem!

    (we couldn’t add tags or upload images)
