Can’t add php script in page editor

  • How do you add a php code snippet to the html of a page? Everytime I click on “edit HTML” the new window pops up with the HTML code and I insert my php code. However, after saving, it deletes all the php. Is there something I’m missing?

Yes, you need to download a plugin to write PHP code in the editor. Vanilla wordpress doesn’t let you do it.

do you know what the plugin is called?

Something like phpexec – there’s more than one I think.

Just search in the plugins area for PHP, I’m sure one will come up.
