Can’t Add New User in WordPress 6.0.1

    Running WordPress 6.0.1

    As the main admin when I try to add a new user to my website, I can open that page in the admin section (/wp-admin/user-new.php) just fine. When I fill it in and try to add a new user, I get the error “Oops! That page can’t be found.” and “It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?” messages even though it’s still on the /wp-admin/user-new.php page. Has anyone else experienced this? Did you find a solution or workaround? I tried disabling all plugins but the issue persists. Thanks in advance.

    I reviewed that before I posted my request. Is there a specific think in that list you’d like me to do and report back here?

    Other than “disabling all plugins”, have you attempted other steps suggested in that list?

    Yes, except manually updating all the WP files. I did run the “Re-install version 6.0.1” option in the dashboard but it didn’t help.

    Try that.

    BACKUP: If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. You can never have enough backups! See https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-backups/

    I haven’t abandoned this thread, life has just gotten in the way. I will be returning to try the manual update by the end of this week (I hope).

    I’ve followed these instructions:

    Unfortunately, it’s still giving the “page not found” error.
