# Can’t activate: T_STRING error

 * Hi, I couldn’t activate your plugin because I received the following error:
 * Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
 * Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home7/newaxiom/public_html/
   odysseycannabis/wp-content/plugins/easy-age-verifier/easy-age-verifier.php on
   line 13
 * Any idea why?

 * I suspect that your version of PHP is older than 5.3.0. Depending on your host,
   you should be able to update to a newer version (and you definitely should!)

 * Thanks, Alex. You were correct: updated to 5.4 and it activated just fine.
 * Unfortunately, it’s not displaying on my page. I can see/edit it in the customizer,
   but no display, even on private/incognito windows. Do you have another easy fix?

 * Yep, actually there’s a known bug that prevents the verifier from popping up 
   on some websites. Usually, this will resolve the issue:
