• I can’t activate any plugin, not even Hello Dolly. The ones that are active stay that way and I can deactivate them, but I can’t re-activate. I reinstalled all the core WP files but that didn’t help. My .htaccess looks normal. Any ideas?

Apologies for the duplicate post… weird browser issue.

Thanks for the reply. I just downloaded Yoast and it appears in my list of plugins, but I am unable to activate it. No errors.

In this thread, this person discovered that they had a weird folder structure: www/httpdocs/wordpress/www/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins and they solved the problem by deleting the additional folders.

This thread suggests two solutions, the one being to run a repair on the database, specifically the Options table, the other was that the problem was caused by a caching plugin.

My money would be on repairing the options table. If you need, here’s an article that might be helpful: How to optimize and repair MySQL databases using phpMyAdmin.

@robhob thank you. Reparing the databases worked in my case. I just selected them all and did the repair. Took only a few seconds.

    Glad it worked for you.
