# Can't access WordPress Admin

 * Hello,
 * Could you please help me with the following problems?
 * I have 2 related sites: [http://www.mangalamstudio.com](http://www.mangalamstudio.com)–
   old site built with iweb [http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon](http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon)–
   new site built with wordpress
 * I intentionally built the new site temporarily on /comingsoon so that the old
   site is still running while I am building the new one.
 * I finished the new site, and I have just changed the directory on WordPress admin
   dashboard from [http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon](http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon)
   to [http://www.mangalamstudio.com](http://www.mangalamstudio.com)
 * However, it didn’t work and I have 3 issues now:
    1. [http://www.mangalamstudio.com](http://www.mangalamstudio.com)
   still looks the same as the old site 2. [http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon](http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon)
   doesn’t look right – it has the content on the front page, but loses the theme
   and all other pages are pointing to the wrong pages. 3. I can no longer access
   the wp-admin either through [http://www.mangalamstudio.com](http://www.mangalamstudio.com)
   or [http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon](http://www.mangalamstudio.com/comingsoon)

 * If I’m understanding your post correctly, the only step you took to move your
   site to the root of your domain was to change the address in the WordPress dashboard.
   There’s a few more steps involved in moving a site than that.

   specifically the section called “Moving Directories On Your Existing Server”.

 * I have a follow-up question.
 * Could you let me know how to undo the change in the address on WordPress dashboard?
 * I don’t know how to do this as I no longer have access to the wp-admin dashboard.
   I would like to restore everything as before.

 * I have a similar problem, on a different thread already I know, I followed the
   protocol for changing the site name from a sub-directory install of WP. The move
   worked fine, my site is running but I still can’t get into the admin section 
   which I thought would still be the same address ….. I think the specific article
   that Mangalamstudio wants is this one

 * specifically the part about changing from an existing sud directory install.
   
   You may have the same problem I do with the Admin page though …I am interested
   in that fix myself.
