Can't access subdomain only subfolder

  • hello can you please tell me why I can’t access site1.domainname.com
    I made subfolder called site1 and I can enter only with domainname.com/site1 which I don’t want also how can I go to domainname.com/home without typing that “home”.

  • For solutions for the domain based url please check http://codex.wordpress.org/Before_You_Create_A_Network#Server_Requirements
    if you have the above requirements.

    To have a static home page you need to change the setting from the admin.
    The path is
    Dashboard/Setting/Reading/Front page diaplays

    You didn’t actually make a subfolder, did you? You juyst made a subfolder site, right?

    Also that base config stuff looks weird…

    Where is WP installed? /domains/domainname.com/home/ isn’t what you see from the front end, it’s just domainname.com, so you should just have / as your $base and ReWriteBase
