Everything was running fine. Then, I was trying out a different app, which corrupted my database. Not a big deal, I just resorted from a backup. The problem was that my last backup was just before installing w3al.

But, that didn’t seem to be a big deal. Well, this time when I tried to install t, every time I tried to reach w3al in settings, I’m kicked up to my profile edit page.

First things I did was deactivate w3all, go to the config file and comment out @define(‘PHPBB_INSTALLED’, true), and then reactivate w3all to reset it… that did not work.

So, then I went to the database’s table for options and delayed w3all’s settings, and that didn’t work. I checked the database and the .mysite.com in w3all_phpbb_cookie had prepared. So, I I turned w3all off again, deleted the contents of w3all_phpbb_cookie again, cleared my browser history when to try w3all again, and I am still being sent bake to my profile edit page.

I repeat that I few more times and w3all is off, w3all_phpbb_cookie stays empty. When it is turned back on, the .mysite.com comes back.

SO, doing that is the limit of my ability to troubleshoot. Any ideas?

When you install it, and activate, you’re redirected ever to your profile, if you try to access the wp_w3all admin config page?

Still in trouble? Try to download the previous version
    https://www.axew3.com/common/wp-w3all-phpbb-integration-177.zip
to see if the problem is going away, so in case it is a 1.7.8 issue?

i can’t get out in mind what it could be but, as first thing i would check the user you’re experiencing this, if the profile is the same on both about email and username? (that in 1.7.8 should be not be a problem by the way) …
p.s that i assume yes it is.
You’ve try out another user? The same result?
Maybe create an admin in WP and check.

I will create another admin account and see what happens.

I did create another admin account. It did provide me access to the wp_w3all admin config page. However, on activation, the new admin account was immediately logged out. When I commented out @define(‘PHPBB_INSTALLED’, true), I could access the config page again, but the problem continued… and I tried both with the current version and the previous version of the plugin.

Because if the same user isn’t still logged into phpBB also, then it is logged out.
The important is that after he can login normally, and access the plugin config page: if it is, i need to re-check what can be wrong with a kind of config where admin id1 in WP and phpBB uid2 aren’t with same username. Because i assume it come out only in this situation so.

    What’s the situation now?
The plugin active and the admin uid1 of WP can access plugin config due to redirect, or you have use the other admin and now all is working, and you do not access to wp_w3all config with admin ID1? Or worse, you’ve deactivate the plugin?

I will check another time with a reply here as soon i can.
