  • A white page looks like a php error. Did you edit any php last night?

    No nothing like that

Try deactivating your plugins by renaming the plugins folder on the server:

    wp-content
        plugins.HOLD

You’ll need to use FTP or Cpanel to do that – ask your hosting company for help with it if you don’t know how.

If that doesn’t work, ask your hosting company how to access the server error logs to get additional info about what’s going on.

How do you do that Im not understanding I am having the same problem

    Pritnt4Vets,

If you include more detail in a new post I’m someone like myself will be able to help you.

Do you have access to FTP or Cpanel?

I have cpanel through hostgator I cant access wp-admin its comes up white page blank
http://www.print4vets.com I edited something in theme functions then removed it when I saw it was wrong place then updated and zap nothing

    Casey Driscoll

    (@caseypatrickdriscoll)

Yeah that will definitely break it. Fastest fix is probably just upload the theme again through cpanel or ftp.

You won’t be able to access the front or the wp-admin until the theme is replaced/fixed.

so uninstall wordpress then re upload it??? Though quickinstall???

    Nope, just that theme.

I’m unfamiliar with the specifics of Host Gator, but in your CPanel you will need to find the “FTP” button, the one that lets you upload and delete files on your server. There, at the root of your site, you should find the base of the WordPress installation, a bunch of files and folders that looks something like this:

    ├── index.php
    ├── license.txt
    ├── readme.html
    ├── wp-activate.php
    ├── wp-admin
    ├── wp-blog-header.php
    ├── wp-comments-post.php
    ├── wp-config.php
    ├── wp-config-sample.php
    ├── wp-content
    ├── wp-cron.php
    ├── wp-includes
    ├── wp-links-opml.php
    ├── wp-load.php
    ├── wp-login.php
    ├── wp-mail.php
    ├── wp-settings.php
    ├── wp-signup.php
    ├── wp-trackback.php
    └── xmlrpc.php

Find the folder /wp-content/themes/your-broken-theme/ and delete *just* that folder, it contains the broken theme. Upload the new theme in its place.

If you contact hostgator directly, they can probably help you do this, or show you how.

Ahh oko awesome thatnks a lot life saver
