    Your site is probably behind a load balancer, in which case the .htaccess creates a redirect loop.

    In your .htaccess file, replace:
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
    With
    RewriteCond %{HTTP:X-Forwarded-Proto} !https

    This should fix the redirect loop you are experiencing. This will be added in the next version, available in aproximately one week.

    If that doesn’t help, follow these three steps to uninstall.
    With your ftp program, do the following.
    1) Remove the plug-in rules from the .htaccess file

    2) change the siteurl back to http by adding
    define('WP_HOME','http://example.com');
    define('WP_SITEURL','http://example.com');

    to your wp-config.php (where example.com is your domain of course)

    3) rename the plug-in to something else.

    If you need any help just ask. Let me know if this works for you.

    The latest update (2.1.7) should not give any problems anymore in this area, .htaccess rewrite rules are only created when one of 4 specific ssl configurations are detected. In that case, matching rules are created.

    To make this plugin suitable for all situations all feedback is very welcome.
