    I had been editing and using my WordPress through the internet wordpress.org. I just recently installed wordpress on my computer using a tutorial for mac. But now that I have wordpress installed it seemed to have made a new account for me. How can I access the account I already had on the internet?

    Dont know if it helps, but I used this video to install WP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP4E3KT12Zg

    You need to study up on what a local and remote server install is.

    To try to answer: you need to perform a full site backup and use those files and db in the local install (read up at the Codex). You are then working on that – which can then be transferred back.

    Oh dear goodness LOL. That sounded like alien language to my brain 🙂

    WordPress installed on your computer is totally separate from WordPress installed on a remote server, so yes, it is a new account. If you want to move the server one to your local computer, see:

    Instead could one of you please help me convert this code into a gigya shortcode? It is from podomatic. For certain reasons I can’t move my whole wordpress right now, and the reason I installed it was to obtain the plugins, which is not available on the internet WP. Thank you for your help so far! And if someone could help me turn this into a gigya shortcode that would be awesome 🙂 I tried but it said I am missing like a “JSON” file. Here is the code below.

    <object width='480' height='360'>
    <param name='wmode' value='transparent'></param>
    <param name='menu' value='false'></param>
    <param name='movie' value='http://blaiseforet.podomatic.com/swf/joe_multiplayer_v111.swf'></param>
    <param name='flashvars' value='jsonLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fblaiseforet.podomatic.com%2Fembed%2Fmulti%2F0%3Fcolor%3D1c60ff%26autoPlay%3Dfalse%26facebook%3Dfalse%26height%3D360%26objembed%3D1%26width%3D480'></param>
    <param name='allowFullScreen' value='true'></param>
    <param name='allowscriptaccess' value='always'></param>
    <embed src='http://blaiseforet.podomatic.com/swf/joe_multiplayer_v111.swf'
      flashvars='jsonLocation=http%3A%2F%2Fblaiseforet.podomatic.com%2Fembed%2Fmulti%2F0%3Fcolor%3D1c60ff%26autoPlay%3Dfalse%26facebook%3Dfalse%26height%3D360%26objembed%3D1%26width%3D480'
      wmode='transparent'
      menu='false'
      type='application/x-shockwave-flash'
      allowscriptaccess='always'
      allowfullscreen='true'
      version='10.0.0'
      width='480' height='360'></embed>
    </object>

    That’s a totally different topic – so you’ll need to post a new thread. But also note that these forums support self-hosted WP sites and themes and plugins downloaded from this site, so custom work like that maybe outside the scope of these forums.
