I am new to WordPress, so I apologize in advance if the answer to this is obvious and I missed it. I am trying to get an xml sitemap for my page. I tried building one and then FTPing it over, and I tried a using a WordPress plugin. The problem is that I see the sitemap.xml file in the proper directory (the plugin put it there), but when I try to access it using http://myaddress.com/sitemap.xml, it says it doesn’t exist. I tried to FTP image files over a few weeks ago and I couldn’t view them either, even though they were clearly visible in the main directory of my blog.
I assume there is a way to make these files recognizable by WordPress. I am using yahoo webhosting and my blog uses a subdomain. Once again, I am very new to WordPress, and have been learning as I go along, but this is one I can’t figure out.
Thanks in advance,
