Can’t access any of the subpanels

    Hi everyone, I,ve just opened my WP blog, I’ve downloaded and unzipped Akismet, And uploaded it to my blog useing File Zilla. When I try to activate it, my plugin management subpanel doesn’t respond. It shows that Akismet was uploaded, but when I try to click the box to the left, and activate all I get is a magnifying glass, that enlarges, and diminishes the subpanel. It is the same for all other subpanels, dashboard, and the rest. I know I’m missing something, or not doing the right thing, so I could really use some help, as I am new to this. Thanks Tim

IT won’t give an arrow to click on anything. I can’t access any of the other subpanels either, I get the same thing. I’m knew to this, and it’s probably simple, but I could use some help.
