Support » Fixing WordPress » Can’t Access Admin Page

  • I can reach my site vincesblog.org which is a WordPress site. Whenever I click on the admin link toward the bottom left of the page or manually enter vincesblog.org/WordPress/wp-admin.php I get the msg “Nothing found for WordPress WP Login PhP”. I tried all the recommended troubleshooting in: https://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble to no avail. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Not sure how you’ve set things up or if you recently made any changes in your addresses or plugins, but your login appears to be here: http://vincesblog.org/wp-login.php

That login link at the bottom of your page contains a sub-directory named “wordpress” (as do many other URLS in your source), but your site files appear to be installed at the root of your domain.

And, those posing such questions can find how to fix it, where?

Based on the limited observations I was able to offer after viewing the site, I don’t think we’re ready to put a finger on the exact problem just yet.

It might be best to wait for any follow up response or additional information from the person asking for help. That way we can try to make a reasonably well informed decision about how to find the best repair solution based on any additional information @arninc might be able to provide (rather than simply taking a wild guess based on facts that aren’t yet in evidence).

There are so many helpful documents and topics available on this site that I’m sure anyone would be more than happy to provided directions to the best advice or trouble-shooting tips once the site owner has had a chance to re-evaluate any events that may have taken place leading up to the problem.

If you think you recognize the issue and might have a spot-on solution for the problem @arninc is currently experiencing, please don’t hesitate to point him/her in the right direction. I’m sure @arninc would be grateful for any suggestions you might have.

Everyone here is free to help, so don’t hesitate if you have a suggestion!

Good to see you – hope you have been well… Take care!
