Can't Access Admin. after activating NexGen

    On 1/18/2012 I installed the Nexgen plugin. I activated it and then was unable to access my dashboard. I am getting an Error 500 message.

    I do not know if the NexGen plugin caused the problem or not.

    Can anyone offer help as to how I can regain access to my Admin?

    Reset your plugins folder via FTP or the file manager provided in your host’s control panel.

    1. Via FTP or your host’s file manager, navigate to the wp-contents folder (directory)
    2. Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename the folder “plugins” to “plugins.hold”
    3. Login to your WordPress administration menus (/wp-admin)
    4. Via FTP or your host’s file manager, rename “plugins.hold” back to “plugins”
