Support » Plugin: Job Manager » Canonical URLs are pointing to a 404’ing URL

  • Hello, it appears that the link rel canonical URL rendered for certain pages have ‘/jobman_joblist/’ where the home directory should be.

Example, if the Jobs Manager home directory is…

    http://www.mysite.com/careers/teacher/

the canonical URL is being published as

    http://www.mysite.com/jobman_joblist/teacher/

This behavior seems to only be occurring on job category pages as well as the database-driven job category pages (‘/?jcat=’) generated by the Job Category dropdown widget. Additionally, these canonical URLs containing the ‘/jobman_joblist/’ are 404’ing since they don’t exist… creating a problem with search engines.

Is there a fix for this? Thank so much.

Can you provide a link to your site? If you’re using Yoast SEO, sitemap is set correct and normal canonical settings within SEO you should be ok. Also, ensure that you have flushed/reset permalink.
