# Cannot View/Post Comments

 * I recently changed the directory of my WP from “[http://dailymuse.zapto.org/folder&#8221](http://dailymuse.zapto.org/folder&#8221);
   to “[http://dailymuse.zapto.org&#8221](http://dailymuse.zapto.org&#8221);, and
   I’m having a few problems with comments. I followed the WP codex guide to “Moving
   Folders”, but I still cannot post or view comments – whenever I click on the “
   comments” button, it tries to load “/p=15#comments”, then immediately refreshes
   back to index.php.
 * Some interesting tidbits:
 * – If I copy the wordpress files back to the original directory, and set the original
   directory back up in Options–>General–>WordPress Address/Blog Address, it works
   fine again
 * – If I copy the wordpress files to another (non-root) directory and set up the
   necessary folders in WordPress Address/Blog Address, it works fine
 * – If I set the blog address to (URL)/index.php, it works fine…albeit with an 
   ugly ”/index.php/” file behind it
 * – If I try to set up permalinks, the problem remains.
 * – If I choose the default theme, the problem remains
 * – If I delete .htaccess, then update permalinks, the problem remains

 * I see you’re using XAMPP. I seem to recall that there are some challenges with
   getting XAMPP to use index.php by default, which explains why it works when you
   specifically include `index.php` in your permalink structure.
 * I’ve never used XAMPP, so I don’t know how to fix this. I’m sure someone here
   does, though.
