 * Hello, I’m new to WordPress and having difficulty because I cannot see my site.
   I am logged in as admin and when I click “view site” my site pulls up but says
   that it’s under construction. Does anyone have any ideas of where I went wrong?
   I also cannot see anything when I go to customize.
 * I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and even created a new WordPress account but
   no luck. Do I need to publish the site somehow? I thought that it published automatically.
 * My hosting service is through iPage and the URL is [http://www.susannaclermont.com](http://www.susannaclermont.com).
   I really appreciate any help. Thank you!

 * [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients) into your site (or use whatever
   file management application your host provides) & delete the index.html file
   in your domain’s root folder.

 * Hey hiimmels,
 * if you are an ipage user its always suggested to created a new directory inside
   root directory and then install your wordpress inside the folder you created.
   as “you can always point your domain to any folder you want”.
 * For example:
    your website is installed in “/” which is root
 * now you create a folder test inside your root folder”/test” and point your domain
   to the directory “/test”
 * you can try multiple folders and and install multiple wordpress website . ultimately
   you can keep switching them by pointing your name servers.
 * IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THESE PROCEDURES THEN AS SUGGESTED BY “esmi” DELETE THE INDEX
   FILE FROM YOUR ROOT DIRECTORY.

 * I am having the same problem. All I can see is an “under construction” page.
   I tried emsi’s suggestion above, but nothing changed. I am a total beginner so
   the suggestions by Babu above make no sense to me. Is there something else I
   can do? Thank you!
