Cannot View Site

Hi,
I’m very new to all this. I’m good with computers, but I’m learning all this other stuff. The issue I’m having is that I can’t view my site without typing in www. Say I type in http://mysite.com it goes to the “This site is coming soon.” If I type in http://www.mysite.com it goes to my blog. I’ve installed wordpress to the root directory so that’s not the problem. I don’t have an index.html like some people have been saying to delete. I’m pretty sure I’ve uploading my site to the FTP correctly. I even (I think, at least) correctly created myself a web.config file to do the permalinks (that took a while). Yet is still can’t view my site in a normal fashion. Also, when I click “view site” it takes me to that “this site is coming soon” page. Please help me, I just don’t know where to go from here.
