  • Hi there cindymeitz. Thanks for the note here, and sorry to hear about the inconvenience. Had you recently updated from 2.0.9 to 2.0.10 (or some other update from an older to a new version)?

Let me know if this problem is the byproduct of an update. Otherwise, you may want to A) flush your permalinks (just resave the permalinks page) and make sure the Events slug under Events -> Settings matches the link you’re trying to visit. There is also a “View Calendar” link from the backend, which you should test specifically after flushing permalinks.

Give that a go and let me know the results! Thanks for your patience so far.

It’s possible the problem coincided with an update, but I can’t tell you for sure. I didn’t find the problem the same day that I updated but that doesn’t mean it didn’t start that day. I don’t typically access my own events page every day.

I had already flushed my permalinks but I tried again just now and the problem still persists. View calendar in the backend does not work, just links to the homepage. Same thing with front end.

BTW, I’m using WordPress 3.4.2, the latest version of Events Calendar, and my theme is Kaboodle by Woothemes.

I switched to Twenty Twelve and that seemed to resolve the problem. However since I don’t want to run my site with that theme, is my only option to find another events plugin?

BTW I ran this plugin with Kaboodle for several months with no problems.

Hey Cindy. Thanks for the update; sounds like the problem is indeed with that theme. If this is a relatively recent change (you said the plugin + theme worked fine together), I’m wondering if the latest jQuery we implemented in 2.0.10 could be the conflict. I’ve seen a couple issues since that 2.0.10 launch from users who were running themes that used an outdated version of jQuery. Any way you can check your theme for that?

If you’re unable to or not sure what I mean, we can troubleshoot if you send a copy of the theme to pro@tri.be. We’ll test locally and see what we can dig up. If you take that route make sure to reference this thread (with a link, specifically) so we can make the connection. Thanks!

I should also note, we do have a relationship with WooThemes and I’ve been able to get results by emailing their devs and requesting fixes in the past. If that ends up being the case here there shouldn’t be too much time before a resolution is achieved. Fingers crossed…
