I had no issues using Windows Live Writer to post remotely when I used free web hosting. Once I changed to a paid web hosting service, I was no longer able to use Live Writer. I keep getting a 460 Not Acceptable error. I researched the internet for days and tried all the suggestions but nothing worked. Finally, I contacted my web host for help.
They said that hmlrpc.php file is using the function fopen. They say they have disables the allow_url_fopen php configuration on the server due to security issues and they advised me to contact my web developer to modify the xmlrpc to use cURL unstead of fopen.
I’m very new to site building and blogging and I’m afraid I’m not sure what exactly it is I’m supposed to do. Can anyone give me a few pointers to fix this problem? I’m about two seconds away from ripping all my hair out! eeeek!!!
Thanks so much in advance! 🙂
