• Hi,

I recently reset my database and reinstalled wordpress(probably wasn’t a good idea to do it that way).

So I got everything running from fresh and the problem occurred when I was trying to use a plugin.

For example, if I try to use the plugin Types, I can’t add or import any Types. It shows me the message of death:

“You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page”

This occurred with other plugins too.. When I try to do anything with other plugins(like WordPress Database reset), it shows me the same message.

I went into my mysql database and checked all wp_users and wp_usermeta. Had the right wp_capabilities and wp_user_level.

How come I can install and activate a plugin, but not do anything with it?

Please help! I struggled all day with this…

  • I recently reset my database

Could you please explain this in detail? How did you “reset the database”?

If you really want to start fresh, create a new db at your host, create a new WordPress install, and test that.

I went to my hosting site and they had an option to delete all existing data in the database.
And for some reason, the database doesn’t give me permission to create databases…
