# Cannot upload plugins: unpacking plugin

 * When trying to upload plugins I get the message unpacking the plugin and that’s
   as far as it goes…
 * I can upload plugins from inside the wordpress ecosystem but can’t download them
   to my computer and then upload them.

 * Can you be more precise ? You can click on “install” from the wordpress admin
   area but unpacking fails ?
    This is probably a memory issue on the hosting server.
 * You can also download the plugin from the wordpress site, unzip it on your computer
   the upload the folder to wp-content/plugins. Then activate it from the admin 
   area.
