# Cannot Upload Images in Write Post

 * I’ve been using the uploader fine ever since the installation.
 * After being on haitus for 2 weeks, I came back to post and found out that I can’t
   upload for some strange reason.
 * What is this? I tried changing persmission, that didn’t work. I have also tried
   re-uploading admin-functions.php, that didn’t work either.
 * Anyone has any experience with this before? How did you solve it?

 * Any ideas anyone? Seems to be a common problem with no resolution…

 * Steve, do you not see the posts right above yours? I mean I know you had to search
   for this issue so I’ll give you some credit but I see a reply from handy that
   looks like a response. A [Google search](http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22open_basedir+restriction+in+effect%22)
   for the error shows even more like the very first one.
