Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.” * I checked file upload maximum settings and also confirmed that they can upload via other means into the Media Library. Those values seem fine. But clicking the “New File” button in Buddy Drive and selecting a file which was 70k in size, I get “File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. It indicates that it is part of the issue we’re currently working on to be fixed in v2.1 of BuddyDrive that deals with a change in how BuddyPress handles file uploads. A fix will be coming although I don’t currently have an ETA on the fix nor the version update. I understood BuddtDrive had worked in the past– would this be a PHP version issue? Also, I would downgrade WP versions (but not back to an unpatched version) and/or try an older version of BuddyPress to see if compatibility issues could have arisen there. While I don’t provide dates or possible release windows on plugins (because we all know that stuff comes up and can lengthen those windows), we are working actively on the update and hope to release soon as it will contain fixes and a number of great improvements. Unfortunately, I have a policy of never promising a release window as this almost always results in broken promises. Software development is just too fluid. 🙂 However, several fixes are already done and one or two more are being finished. So I’d say you’ll see movement very soon.
