# Cannot update/change/edit field

 * I’m wondering if someone can help troubleshoot an issue we’re having with [our custom built site](http://theartofecology.org/podcasts/)
   on Genesis. On the backend, there is a “Page Excerpt” field on all pages and 
   posts but we cannot change/edit/update ANY of the content. As soon as we click“
   update”, it reverts back to the original text/image, etc (whatever was there)
   over and over no matter what we do. For example, we want to delete all the text(
   or even change it) from the Page Excerpt field on the Podcasts page but it reverts
   back over and over.
 * Thanks so much for your help. I may go in and create a new page so if you don’t
   see text on the page when you read it, that’s why. But the problem is happening
   on all pages/posts in that field.
