# Cannot Update Pages

 * Not sure when this started, but I can no longer edit pages in wordpress.
 * 1. If I make edits, then click “update” button, the progress indicator just spins
   in perpetuity and does not return any error.
 * 2. If I click on “edit” for a page visibility, I am just retuned to the top of
   the page. I am not presented with choices to change the visibility of a page.
 * Ideas?

 * See in the browser console, it’ll show any errors there. Press `CTRL+Shift+I`,
   then switch to the `console` tab in the panel that shows up, now click on Update
   and see in the console.

 * Update your PHP and WP version then check. Hope that would work.

 * This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins,
   and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, 
   enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.
 * If you can install plugins, install [Health Check](https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/).
   On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and
   change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, **without affecting normal
   visitors to your site**.
