I am trying to reinstall Wordfence after troubleshooting some website speed issues (renamed Plugin directory, and then reinstalled one by one). However when attempting to activate Wordfence, I am returned to my website’s 404 Not Found page (after about two minutes of spinning).

Would appreciate any insights on resolving.

Hi Eric,

Did you remove Wordfence table data before removing the plugin? If not, getting rid of the table data would help. You can install Wordfence Assistant and remove the table data.

Once the table data is removed, try reinstalling Wordfence.
