Support » Plugin: Better Search » Cannot ‘un-exclude’ a category

  • Trying out the plugin. On the search tab I excluded a single category and the catgory ID number was shown and the search results excluded posts using the category. I then deleted the category from the search tag ‘excluded categories’ field (now blank) and saved the settings. However the catgory ID remained listed and the search still excluded the category.

    Is there something else I need to do to un-exclude a category?

  • Worked out how do this … but it is not intuitive!
    Rather than delete the category name, so leaving the field blank, I had to leave a single comma in the field. This then cleared the exclusion. IMO needs a (probably minor) fix.

    Thanks for flagging this – it looks like a bug in the implementation and I can reproduce it. What you stated above is a temporary fix.

    I’ll file this and get a fix out as soon as practical
