Subscribe2 works really well, except that I cannot switch the Sender email address.

I’m the webmaster, so the email should not come from me. However, that’s what is happening. I have my client set up as an admin user, and in Subscribe2 settings, I choose my client’s name in Send Email From.

Even though I’ve added the client as admin use with different usernames and passwords, Subscribe2 insists on using my email address as the sender.

    Please help.

    Thank you,
    V

  • @vwlpaige15,

If you have selected your client user name I the Subscribe2 drop down and not either of
the top 2options then emails should send from your client.

The only way this migt be altered is if you are using another plugin hat alters the email headers. (Like an SMTP plugin) or if your server us rewriting the headers. (Bluehost do this I think)

    I selected my client’s username. It’s #4 in the Subscribe2 > Settings > Send Mail From list.

    The site is on GoDaddy.
    Plugins are:
    Akismet
    Disable Comments
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Jetpack (Not activated)
    One-Click Child
    Subscribe2
    WordPress SEO
    WP4FB Pro (Not activated)

So that probably means that the seever is rewriting the headers.

Another possibility: Both the client’s email address and my email address are different from the blog domain. Could that be causing the problem?

    Thank you!

    @vwlpaige15,

Yes. It will certainly be a server rewrite if you are trying to use an off domain email address. Create an on-domain address and use that. Off-domain address are a bad idea for long term reliability.

I’ll do that. Thank you very much.
