# Cannot submit in IE

 * WP and all plugins are up to date.
 * Form works fine in all browsers except IE, including Edge.
 * In MS browsers the “send” or “submit” button remains disabled even when required
   fields are filled in.
 * Does anybody have any idea what could be happening here? Any info would be much
   appreciated.

 * The contact form on the page seems not to have been created with the [right procedure](https://contactform7.com/getting-started-with-contact-form-7/)
   but seems just a copy-paste from an HTML output of the plugin, and the original
   is incorrect or outdated.

 * Thank you. Indeed that is what the problem was. Previous dev was not using shortcode.
