Support » Fixing WordPress » Cannot set static home page

  • Hi Ive installed wordpress correctly but when I added a page and then in settings/reading I set the static page to be landing page that I made it simply ignores it completely.

Even inside my WP when I click to view this “new page” I created it simply goes to straight to the http://outside-in.org.uk/wordpress/ and seems to be totally ignoring that my page actually exists

    Any ideas please?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I tested another page but it has /wordpress in the permalink to make it work http://outside-in.org.uk/wordpress/home/ cant get rid of the /wordpress bit inbetween it seems

What is the link to this new page you created?

Did you install WordPress at the root (i.e., at outside-in.org.uk) or in the “wordpress” subdirectory?

What is your current permalink setup?

Everything at http://outside-in.org.uk/ appears to be working fine, although there is only the default content that WordPress ships with. The other links you provided are all giving me “Page not found” errors.
