    Hi all,

I got my domain name and hosting this morning through GoDaddy and installed WordPress using Installatron Applications Installer.

I waited just over an hour and was able to see the Theme on the page. I then logged into the admin and changed the theme. I modified the page and saved my work. When I attempted to view my changes in a Google Chrome browser window, I was greeted with “This Web page is parked for FREE, courtesy of GoDaddy.com”. I attempted to access the WP Admin page and received the same ‘parked’ message.

I’ve checked the “Public_HTML” folder and I am not finding any “index.html” or other ‘html’ file that might be causing the issue. I’ve also checked http://www.whois.com/whois/mybrokenhip.com to verify the registration is valid.

It has now been 5 hours and I am a little lost at what else I should try.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    UPDATE

I can now access the WP Admin, however I am unable to view the page and receive “www.mybrokenhip.com – My site is launching soon.”.

It might be a GoDaddy issue, but still will take any help you might tbe able to offer.

  • It takes time. Check it again tomorrow. And also try a different browser/computer. And do “hard refreshes” (CTRL + F5, or whatever the Mac version is if that is your O/S).

I set up a new account this week with them and installed WP. Took the better part of 24 hrs to become “stable”. This is normal.

I guess I can give it a day! Thanks for the feedback.

@wdaleytucson 2ninerniner2 is correct. You need to wait for your domain name to propagate. Once it resolves your site will be ready. Not sure why GoDaddy takes so long. I used to use them for domains and hosting a few years ago but had too many issues. Now my domains resolve within a couple of hours at the most.

Hopefully all is well with your site now.

    Good luck and congrats!

All is well. I called them and they said it all looked right but then put me on hold for 15 minutes. When they came back the issue was resolved.

    Thanks all!

    Hi WDaleyTucson,

    Same Problem with my website.
http://www.Beahinzephotography.com “My site is launhcing soon”

no working! I have been calling with Go Daddy, they said, it is not their responsibility. Just all of Word Press.
    Is that right!?
