When I upload them to HostGator I do not see them under Appearances > Themes when I log in to wp-admin control panel. * I used to be able to see my uploaded themes and select them for use, now I don’t. I can’t find any tutorial that will help me, and I am loosing my mind! Please help! This has typically been the way I do it. * 2: I downloaded an FTP client and synced with my HostGator site/account and uploaded the already zipped files into the wp-content/themes folder. * When done I go to my wordpress account dashboard and when looking under Appearances > Themes the only themes visible are the free ones that were created by the WP community or whomever…. but my themes are nowhere to be seen. * I don’t think this is an FTP issue, something else is going on with wordpress. * [supersnapp](https://wordpress.org/support/users/supersnapp/) * (@supersnapp) * [15 years, 4 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-see-uploaded-theme/#post-1835043) * I have a similar problem. WordPress (3.4) does not allow show deleted or added themes. It also does not allow me to make any changes to the existing themes. So if I add a new image as a header, or a new background, the old images continue to show. Where WP is getting these images I can not figure out. This sound like some type of caching issue. Trying different things, I deleted hyper-cache plug- in, but that was not it. I agree that this is something with WP. This will not EVER work, because the proper HTTP:// to go to is rootedup.com/wp-admin. * A slight difference, but one that makes all the difference! I can now login to my correct admin and select the themes that have been there all along, I just wasn’t going to the right place to see them. * *NOTE: You will also need to make sure that the Name Servers are the ones used by your hosting provider.
