• Hello,

We have setup the latest version of WordPress on a Windows server that uses IIS. We have Windows server 2016 with IIS version 10.

When I upload files using the WordPress such as new JPG images, they arrive on the server in the uploads folder, but I cannot see them from the Internet using any browser. I have given read/write/modify permissions to the IUSER and IIS_IUSER accounts on the server to begin with so the files could be stored in the proper folder.

I also created a new Temp_Uploads folder on the server and changed the PHP.ini settings to use that new folder that I created for temporary file uploads so the file permissions would carry over to the saved file at their final destination in the WordPress uploads folders.

The only way I can be able to see any uploaded files is by going into the server via Remote Desktop and Editing the Windows Security permissions of the WordPress upload folder (/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/) for the current month where the files are uploaded. I do not give any new permissions since it already has read/write/modify. I just open the IUSER account. Check the Full Control checkbox, then uncheck it, then save and going forward I can then see the files in question that were uploaded from the public view using a browser.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem of not being able to see the uploaded files on our Windows server?

    Thanks.
