Title: Cannot see themes correctly Last modified: August 19, 2016 --- # Cannot see themes correctly * [tbforum](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tbforum/) * (@tbforum) * [17 years, 7 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-see-themes-correctly/) * Ok, I’ve searched the forums until I’m blue in the face and I’ve not seen anyone with the exact same problem. Here’s the screenshot: [http://sandysandersdesigns.com/wp-content/myimages/temp/wpthemeprob.jpg](http://sandysandersdesigns.com/wp-content/myimages/temp/wpthemeprob.jpg) ( I have 2 domains running on the same host and I just use one for dumping screenshots for like a temp directory. The domain I’m having problems with is not the one listed in the address to the screenshot) * Here’s the problem.. I can obviously not see any thumbnails of any of the themes even the 2 default wp themes. I can switch between the 2 default themes and activate them and those 2 work fine (the classic and the default). However when I try to activate or even preview 1 of the 2 themes I have installed none of the images show up at all. I’ve seen where some people have a problem nesting directories but this is not the case. I’ve used wp before (that doesn’t make me a expert) but I know how to install themes and plugins properly without making extra directories. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! So I changed the permissions back to 755 and now I’m getting a new error. This happened when I changed the permissions on those 2 directories to 777 but it still happens even though I’ve changed the permissions back to the original 755. To tell you the truth I’m so frustrated right now I feel like deleting everything and the new mysql database and reinstalling wordpress. This is getting worse. Everytime I try and login now to my wp admin page it will not let me login and I have to do the lost password thing. Sometimes that doesn’t even work. I swear I have to click on ‘lost password’ each time to maybe get in. Once in, I always change my admin’s password to what it should be and I still cannot log back in.. weird.
