    Hi

Just posted my first blog and I have enabled comments under Discussion=>Allow people to post comments. Sounds Good. However, on my front page (using Twenty Fourteen, btw) it is not clear which option a user can choose to comment because in the left hand menu it shows:
    META
    Site Admin
    Log out
    Entries RSS
    Comments RSS
    WordPress.org

And when I logout to test the user experience and then click on "Comments RSS" It shows an xml file with the header "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."

I am NOT interested in RSS and I don't want those options available - I just want my users to be able to comment on posts, but it does not appear to be an easy process. Can somebody tell me how I can amend my site to allow users to easily post comments on my blogs and not display the Meta stuff above?

    Many thanks

    BTW The site is:

    Cheers!

Ahh, Open your eyes, Mike! I have found the comments button (Doh!). BUT can I get rid of that Meta stuff? I'll take a look myself but if anybody has a quick answer then great. Cheers!!

Ok found it. I'm one of those annoying people who ask questions before looking further than the end of their own noses!!

Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widget, and remove the Meta widget from there.

If it works, then please mark this thread as resolved. Next time, create a separate topic for 2nd question.
