# Cannot see dashboard

 * Recently logged into my site to add some content for first time in quite a while.
   I noticed it was showing some updates so ran them, but now when I try to log 
   in the screen is either blank (on Safari, Firefox) or says “Server error
    The
   website encountered an error while retrieving [http://www.penuelscouts.org.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/](http://www.penuelscouts.org.uk/wordpress/wp-admin/).
   It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly. Here are some suggestions:
   Reload this webpage later. HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected
   condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.”(
   on Chrome).

 * Your log in and site seem fine. Do this occur after posting the log in information?

 * Hi, yes – I enter my username & password and the resulting screen is as above.

 * Using ftp or by logging in to your hosted account and using what ever file manager
   they provide, rename the plugins folder.

 * Change it back to the original and then one by one turn of plugins until you 
   find the culprit. There is a chance that all will work once you rename the folder.
