 * Hi,
 * Today I tried to save backup settings but when I clicked ‘Save Settings’ the
   circular icon that appears to suggest settings are being saved doesn’t finish.
   Even if I leave it for 5 minutes, it’s still there.
 * If I leave the page and come back again, no settings have been saved.
 * I’m trying to save my number of backups (database and files) from 2 days to 4
   days.
 * I have recently upgraded to WooCommerce 3.0. I don’t know if that affects things,
   but it’s only since then that I have noticed the issue.
 * Help much appreciated. Thanks,
    Steve

 * Hi Steve,
 * Could you confirm what version of UpdraftPlus you are using?
 * Could you also make sure there are no error messages displayed on the page if
   there are could you take a screenshot and share that here.
 * Also can you check your browser developer console and take a screenshot and share
   that here.
 * Best Wishes,
 * Ashley

 * Hi Ashley, thanks for the quick response.
 * Updraft version is 1.12.40
 * WordPress is 4.7.3
 * There are no errors on the page, but WooCommerce is telling me to update the
   store DB
 * I’ve attached a screenshot from developer console – I notice it can’t find admin-
   ajax.php ?? 404 error. Is this a Updraft file as I recall this being flagged
   as unsafe by WordFence and my security people ‘fixed’ the error… Could it be
   that replacing this file would sort out the issue and if so where do I find it?

 * Hi Steve,
 * That file “admin-ajax.php” is a WordPress file that Updraftplus needs in order
   to make AJAX calls (save settings is one of them) it seems Updraftplus can not
   find this file please could you check that file does exist in the “wp-admin”
   folder.
 * If this file does not exist then you can download a fresh copy of WordPress 4.7.3
   from the wordpress.org website then copy that file from the downloaded copy to
   your server copy.
 * Then refresh the Updraftplus settings page and try again.
 * Best Wishes,
 * Ashley

 * Ok thanks,
 * Could you try to replace the file with a new copy from a download of WordPress
   4.7.3 from the wordpress.org website, just to confirm there is nothing wrong
   with the file.

 * Yes have just done that, but it seems to have raised a whole load of issues doing
   so. I’ve replaced the orig file back via cPanel but am now unable to log into
   the admin interface!
 * I get the login page, but it just redirects me back to the login page again (
   no password error – if I deliberately enter an incorrect password I get a password
   error)
 * Kinda stuck now – any advice appreciated

 * Hi Steve,
 * Can you try clearing the cookies or logging in via incognito mode?

 * wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.WEBSITE.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

 * Hi Steve,
 * could you try some of the solutions in this link for fixing login page redirects?

 * Sure – I actually have managed to get back into the admin… I’m working from my
   Desktop. My laptop was already logged in and actually allowed me browse the admin
   so I created a new admin user.
 * So, I’m back in (albeit a bit of a workaround).
 * I can log in with the new account, not the orig account
 * I still can’t update the Updraft plus settings

 * Ok, what host are you with?
 * You could try the solution here about adding these lines to your .htaccess file

 * I’m with UK2.
 * Thanks for the link. I tried the htaccess suggestion but didn’t work.
 * Also, been thinking about changes I’ve made. Apart from updating plugins (all
   say compatible with my 4.7.3 version of WP) I did install one plugin a few days
   ago: WP Clone
 * Does that have any known conflicts with Updraft?

 * Hi Steve,
 * I’m not sure if there are any known conflicts, but can you temporarily deactivate
   wp clone and try and save your settings once again.
 * It is possible that there is a conflict, since its another backup-type plugin.
 * Best wishes,
 * Ashley
