Cannot resolve 404 error

I’ve read various posts in these forums and on various other sites. I want to have a donations page that is secure, but I keep getting a 404 error when I try to access that page. I use Bluehost. I have contacted their support and they were no help other than to say I was using the correct SSL host name and that I would probably have to pay for a dedicated IP to use SSL.

I’ve seen posts where others have gotten this to work and I have tried various suggestions, but I cannot make it work. Maybe I’m missing something since I do not have a great understanding of programming.

Another thing, Bluehost gave me a port number to try, but it doesn’t seem to stick. That is to say, if I enter the port number, save changes, and refresh the plugin settings page, the number is gone.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
