# Cannot reset password

 * When I try to reset my password (on all my sites), the email comes through looking
   like this:
 * Someone requested that the password be reset for the following account: [http://mysite.net/](http://mysite.net/)
   Username: MyName If this was a mistake, just ignore this email and nothing will
   happen. To reset your password, visit the following address:
 * WITHOUT a link following.
 * Anyone know why this is, and what can be done?
 * This is happening with admin and subscriber alike.

 * Thanks, James. Yes, I am aware that there are a number of ways to reset the password,
   but I have many subscribers, and really need to get the system fixed so if they
   want to reset their passwords, they don’t have to pass them on to me each time.

 * Ok, I just wanted to get you into your Dashboard first. 🙂
 * There might be a number of reasons for the missing reset line, usually a plugin
   or theme function conflict.
 * Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one
   individually until you find the cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme
   to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
