    Hey there,

Since updating to 5.5 the ‘Reply’ link to comments in the admin area is dead.

This doesn’t appear to be theme related (custom child Genesis theme) as it cannot be replicated on a local build running 5.5…so perhaps plugin related. Console is throwing the following on the reply click event:

wp-auth-check.min.js:formatted:15 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘interval’ of undefined
    at n (wp-auth-check.min.js:formatted:15)
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (wp-auth-check.min.js:formatted:19)
    at HTMLDocument.dispatch (jquery.js:3)
    at HTMLDocument.r.handle (jquery.js:3)
    at Object.trigger (jquery.js:3)
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (jquery.js:3)
    at Function.each (jquery.js:2)
    at n.fn.init.each (jquery.js:2)
    at n.fn.init.trigger (jquery.js:3)
    at Object.<anonymous> (heartbeat.min.js:2)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks,
    Mark

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Thanks for the responses, nice tip regarding ‘Health Check’. Bizarrely, without intervention, the problem disappeared after a few days – perhaps a caching issue/plugin & caching combo issue. Cheers.
