    Hello,

I changed my Instagram password (and also connected instagram to facebook) and I want to renew to Instagram access token, but I keep getting the message:

Oh No something's wrong. Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.. Please click the button above to retrieve a new Access Token.

I searched for similar topics here and followed all the steps you provided, still it doesn’t work.

    • I click on Login and get my access token, it opens a different page as if it is connecting to instagram, returns to WordPress, but nothing happens.
    • I tried to click the button pre-logged to IG or not logged to IG, in both cases same happens.
    • I clicked update afterwards, no success.
    • I cleared cache, no success
    • I tried to create a new Feed, I dont get any error message, but also when I click on Settings or Still Not Working, it is not responsive, nothing happens.

Meanwhile, I had to remove the this element from my home page. Can you please advise how can I solve this?

    Thank you!

    Hi @badaboo,

We are aware that WordPress 6.2 is causing some issues. Our developers are currently working on a fix and hope to have a new version released here soon.

Please update to version 4.1.0 to fix this problem. Let me know how it goes. If all is working and you could leave a review for us, we would be most grateful. We’ve been getting hammered since our 4.0 release and could use some kind words.

    Hello,
Thank you very much for your plugin that I use on several sites with Facebook and that I appreciate a lot.
The new version is nice… but “the best is maybe the enemy of the good” 😉

Indeed, version 4.1.0. regularly “loses” the connection with Facebook.
And this without any particular rule…
Sometimes the connection “holds” 2 days, sometimes only a few hours…
    I update almost every day!

I thought there was a correlation with the cache duration, but it is not the case.
I thought it was Facebook’s fault, but I don’t have any particular use on the Facebook Page that could generate this disconnection.

I liked the previous version and its shortcode that I could customize directly on the page.
This previous version was perfect and it worked perfectly for my basic use.
I hope you guys will work it out and find a solution.

I installed a backup version with another plugin, but I still prefer Feed Them Social!

    Hi @sylvie-aveline,

We can not replicate this issue on our end. Are there any error message warnings? If so, can you screenshot those for us?

A common issue that we are seeing is that a user may inadvertently go back to the same feed and try to reconfigure (thus overwriting the first, original feed). The way to combat this is, whenever starting a new feed, go to FT Social > Add New Feed.

If the issues have not been resolved, return to the FT Social > Feed you have just created (or the feed with the issue), click the blue support beacon at the bottom right, then click “Ask” (on the top right) and fill out the rest of the support ticket. This procedure will send us any/all of the feed info for us to be able to debug your issue.

    Cheers,

    Hello,
Thank you very much for your answer and this advice.
I have created another feed and I am testing the connection to see if it holds.
    Best regards.
    Sylvie
