# Cannot remove comment Box!!!

 * I cannot remove the comments box from my site. I understand to uncheck the comments
   and decision box on top, but THERE IS NO OPTION ON THE BOTTOM OF ANY PAGE. Sorry
   for the all caps, but this is the response I keep getting, and there is no option
   on the bottom of any page!!!

 * generally, start by going into ‘_dashboard – settings – discussion_‘ and untick‘
   _Allow people to post comments on new articles_‘ – this is only applied to posts
   and pages created after the changes.
 * per post or page, go to the ‘_edit post_‘ (or ‘edit page’) page in the admin;
   then at the top right, click the ‘_screen options_‘ tab; select ‘_discussion_‘
   there; this should give you a box somewhere below the editor window where you
   can untick ‘_allow comments_‘;
 * or go to ‘_dashboard – posts – all posts_‘ in the admin; and use the ‘_quickedit_‘
   for each post to access the ‘_allow comments_‘ as well.
