This plugin works well… mostly. My problem deals with redirecting filenames, like so:

    A)

    Source URL: /rave.php
    Target URL: /events/rave
    Results in: 404 error

    B)

    Source URL: /party/halloween.php
    Target URL: /events/party/halloween
    Results in: 500 error

I even tried RegExp but received strange results.

Let me know if any of you have figured this out. Thanks in advance!

There is nothing special in the plugin involved with redirecting filenames – they are all URLs. However, your server may have some additional rules setup to handle .php URLs differently. You would need to check with your server for this as it happens before Redirection can do anything.

    Thanks for responding.

Now that you mention it, it felt weird that the plugin couldn’t handle filenames. I’m gonna have to check out on server side and see what could be causing this issue.
