I am getting the following error when I post to my blog through Windows Live Writer or any other XML-RPC method. I am currently using version 2.9.2 of the Social plugin but this problem has been occurring for a while now.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Social_Controller in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/social/lib/social/controller.php on line 7
This only seems to happen when the ‘Broadcasting is on by default’ option is enabled and a Twitter account is set Social settings page that is available to all authors. If no account is set globally, it seems to work fine, even with an account set on the author’s profile who is posting. In both cases the post still broadcasts but on occasions where the global account is there, the above error is kicked back in response to the XML-RPC post.
I’ve been getting the same error after switching to a cron job to kick wp-cron.php into working order, so scheduled blog posts actually post. The Social broadcast (Twitter only) just drops, and doesn’t post at all…
The mailer tells me the following after the cron job has run:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class Social_Controller in /home/mysite/public_html/jodilee/wp-content/plugins/social/lib/social/controller.php on line 7
I get the same message on all of the blogs I’m running that I am using the Social plugin on. It’s taken two weeks to settle the scheduled posting problem, and now this… any help will be appreciated.
