Just updated plugin, now get errors trying to login. Renaming the plugin via FTP fixed the problem.

Error messages when attempting to login:

Are you using the default WordPress login form or a custom login page through a plugin? And if the latter, what plugin?

Using “Erident Custom Login and Dashboard” but it uses standard login page. But when I was troubleshooting the error, I disabled that plugin by renaming it via FTP. Then the login page was the generic WordPress one, and still got the errors.

After updating the plugin I dismissed its notice at the top of the page and got an all white screen, used browser’s back-button to the previous page and just ignored the notice. Later logged out. Did not notice any issues until attempting to log in again, and got the mentioned errors.

Oh, I checked cPanel error log and it was empty.

Also, a friend experienced the same errors on her site. Different server, different theme, and different complement of plugins.

    Hi,

I suffer the same problem, and all error message refer also to wp-includes/l10n.php:335

    – WP 5.6, Elementor pro, standard WP login page
    – renaming the plugin directory via ftp solve the problem

    Hope it help

    Hello,

I couldn’t login to my site and received the same error message (“Warning: Cannot modify header information…”). I deleted the newest version of this plugin (2021.2) since it was the last plugin updated and the site immediately returned to normal and I could login again and there were no error messages.

I’m using the Current WP version 5.6.2 with the Twenty-Seventeen theme.

I’ll reinstall an updated version of this plugin.

Thank you for all your efforts towards maintaining this plugin.

Thanks to everyone for reporting the error. I believe I have reproduced it on one of our environments. Another update to follow.

Hi All, please update to verison 2021.2.1. The hotfix resolved the error on our test environment, but please let me know if it persists after you update.

Since I am unable to login to sites to initiate an update, if I FTP upload latest release and have it overwrite existing plugin folder, will settings still be intact?

    (@trumani)

Hi @q120000, thank you for the question. Yes, settings will remain intact if you swap files via ftp/file manager

    TKY Trumani,

I reinstalled the new version (2021.2.1.) and it’s working fine for me now.

    Good work!
