Support » Plugin: WP Google Maps » Cannot modify header information – headers already sent

    I’ve upgraded to “WP Google Maps” 6.0.13 and it seems that it broke some files in WordPress. I have other plugins, including for example “Photo Gallery”. Now when I update an album for this plugin, I’m getting the error below:

    “Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/www/9ea6e214345c5766cb97be648b670d57/web/test/lafouleedebussigny/wp-admin/menu-header.php:118) in /home/www/9ea6e214345c5766cb97be648b670d57/web/test/lafouleedebussigny/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1121”

    I’ve restored a backup of my site from before the upgrade of “WP Google Maps” to 6.0.13, and the other plugin “Photo Gallery” 1.1.16 works well when I’m updating an album.
    However, after I’ve updated again “WP Google Maps” to 6.0.13, I started to get the same errors as above, when updating an album.

    The worse is that, even though I disable “WP Google Maps”, I’m getting the same errors, hence it seems that this “WP Google Maps” updates does something wrong.

    Any idea ?

    Hi
    We’ve removed “error_reporting” in our plugin in version 6.0.13 which means that any errors being produced by other plugins will now be shown. This is supposed to be best practice with plugins. We used to hide this by default which was not the correct method. i.e. the error has probably always been there, but it’s now just being shown.

    If you want to overcome this, you should follow these steps:

    1) Ask Photo Gallery to fix their error OR
    2) Go into your theme’s functions.php file and add this:

    <?php error_reporting(E_ERROR); ?>

    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards
    Nick

    The error has been fixed by the author of the other plugin “Photo Gallery”. Thanks.
