"Cannot modify header information" error messages after switching hosts

  • Can’t login to my backend. Tried everything I could find in the forums, from adding “?>” to the end of the files to stripping out whitespace to deactivating plug-ins.

I would also try deleting the theme you are trying to use. If the twentyeleven theme is in there, it should use that as the default

Thanks Christine, unfortunately this is a theme that is custom tailored to our client. All was working fine until we decided to switch hosts. Got any other ideas?

It might be worth testing the default theme anyway, cause if it doesn’t work, then you know that the hosting provider isn’t supporting WordPress properly. Perhaps they are running an old php version.

I would contact the host and see if perhaps they have better error logs and can pinpoint the issue.

Ok thanks. I think it might be that I switched from a host with old PHP to a host with new PHP. HRMPH
