Same issue here. Can’t reach the admin area after the latest update. I had to disable the plugin…
latest version of Broken Link Checker has broken my dashboard too. I have put the version 1.10.11 back.
How do I remove the plugin when I can’t login into my dashboard anymore. It’s been so long since I’ve gone through my hosting to make changed on WP. I’m hosted with Godaddy.
Hi AnnBernard77,
To do this, you need FTP access to the site.
Then you should go to the wp-content/plugins/ folder and then delete the “broken-link-checker” folder, or move it out of the plugins folder.
Hi AnnBernard77, If you don’t have a FileZilla for example, why don’t you go to the GoDaddy’s CPanel – Files Manager – wp-content/plugins/ and DELETE the Broken Link Checker.
Thank you. It’s what I know I have to do – I just don’t remember how. I’ll have to get my web developer do it. In the other thread it said upgrading to PHP 5.4 fixed it, but I did that and still have the error.
It took some digging both in my brain and in Godaddy Cpanel which has changed since I was last on there – but, got it removed and access returned. Thank you Rick and hollowstar.
Had the same issue. I was able to remove the plugin with Fetch. I’m back to my dashboard 🙂 Thanks for the help!
